Part of the ISA mission is to create screenings for Indigenous work. ISA works with the Sydney Opera House to screen the Message Sticks Indigenous International Film Festival. It is scheduled for May 4th to 6th, 2007.

The Tudawali Awards are held every two years and are due to be staged again in 2007 to coincide with Message Sticks. These awards are supported by the AFC and AIATSIS.

Nominations are now open for two awards. The first for contribution to INDIGENOUS MEDIA, presented by AIATSIS. This is a cash prize of $7000. The second is the BOB MAZA Memorial Award of $10,000 for the professional development of an Indigenous person working in film and television. This award is supported by the Indigenous Unit of the Australian Film Commission.

Deadline for nominations April 13th 2007.
